ITALIAN LEATHER TECHNOLOGY
On May 13 and 14 the four companies of the Lapi Group dealing in the chemicals field – FGL international, Figli di Guido Lapi, Toscolapi and Finikem – attended again to the event called Fabbriche Aperte (Open Factories) dedicated to the students of the Technical Institute Cattaneo of San Miniato, chemical orientation.
Fabbriche Aperte is an initiative promoted by Federchimica already joined by the above mentioned companies in 2011, when it was celebrated the International Year of Chemistry.
Students and teachers were guided into the different departments of the hosting companies by the qualified staff, who illustrated to the students the most important characteristics of what they were seeing. They had the opportunity to visit the R&D laboratory, the experimental tannery, the production department and the warehouse of the four companies and to see directly the world of work.
The experience was really constructive and appreciated both by the students, who were very interested and made a lot of questions, and by the teachers, who think that such experiences are very helpful for the formation and growth of the young people.
