We are pleased to announce the publication of our first Sustainability Report, covering FGL International’s activities in 2024—an important milestone in our journey toward greater social and environmental responsibility. Preparing this report was a voluntary choice, not driven by regulatory requirements, and reflects our commitment to transparency in the way we operate and in the results we achieve for the environment and the communities in which we work.
Thanks to the tireless efforts and high professionalism of our team, we continued to strengthen our long-standing focus on innovation and sustainability. The technical solutions we bring to the market are always developed with a constant commitment to protecting the environment and safeguarding people’s health and safety.
Among the most significant achievements of the year, we are proud to highlight our UNI EN ISO 14001 certification. In line with our ongoing efforts, we also carried out a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) on a broad selection of our products to evaluate their environmental impact across their entire life cycle. This work has given us objective data that will guide our future decisions toward increasingly sustainable solutions, offering our customers tangible added value—an additional guarantee of quality and innovation.
In 2024 we also confirmed our top-tier (Level 3) participation in the ZDHC program, further strengthening our position as a reliable and qualified supplier for the leather value chain, especially for customers operating under stringent chemical safety and sustainability protocols.
We continue to play an active role in the main industry initiatives, representing the sector in international working groups and maintaining an ongoing dialogue with clients and stakeholders.
But sustainability for us is not only environmental. Above all, it is a responsibility toward the people at the heart of our company. Human capital is our priority, and in a complex, highly specialized sector like the chemical-tanning industry, ensuring safe workplaces and protecting the well-being of our employees is absolutely essential.
